Bottom Fish

Our primary target species include Black Sea Bass, Lingcod, and Canary Rockfish. We use two bottom fishing techniques: long leader and nearshore. Long leader fishing takes place in waters deeper than 240 feet, where we use electric reels to make retrieving fish and gear from these depths easier. In addition to Lingcod and Canary Rockfish, you might also encounter Yellowtail, Bocaccio, and other species while long leader fishing. Nearshore bottom fishing focuses on areas near jetties and Tillamook Head, where we use light tackle spinning gear for a more hands-on, thrilling fight with the fish.
