the Columbia River for fishing is
the area from the mouth of the
Columbia River near Astoria Oregon
and known as buoy 10 all the way up
to the Bonneville dam. |

River |

Wilson River Fall Chinook
are often huge and very
strong fighting fish. Don

Clackamas River is a very
popular local Portland,
Oregon fishery. It's very
near the Willamette River
almost in downtown Portland.

Steelhead could be the most
sought after fish to catch,
fight, land, and eat.
Steelhead are one of the
toughest to catch, but also
one of the most fun to
battle with. Northwest
anglers will fish for
Steelhead in rain, snow,
wind, and freezing cold water,
it makes no difference. When
the "bite" is on its time to
fish. Whether free drifting,
flipping spoons, back
trolling plugs, or trying
something new and different,

Summer & Winter
Steelhead are pound for
pound the best fighting fish
on the planet long runs and
jumps with outrageous air acrobatics.
The average weight of these
fish ranges from 7 to 13+
pounds with an occasional
Steelhead running over 20
pounds. No matter how you

Steelhead are delicious. |
SALMON
FISHING |
Fall
Chinook Salmon are the
biggest Salmon on the
Columbia River, averaging 20
to 30 pounds. It is not
uncommon to hook into a
40-55 pound Fall Chinook
Salmon. These Salmon run
during the Fall months but
there are actually huge
Salmon running up the
Columbia river all year
long. Summer Chinook Salmon,
Spring Chinook and even
Winter salmon are all
popular in the Northwest. |
